Q. How much extra money do I need each week?

A. Between $10 and $50 for entertainment, personal items, washing/drying machines/laundry powder etc.

Q. Can vegetarians or special needs menus be accommodated for?

A. Yes

Q. Can students under 18 attend?

A. No.

Q. Is there any married accommodation and accommodation for couples with children?

A. This varies from semester to semester, depending on the number of single students enrolled.

Q. Can subjects gained (or credits) be transferred to other Bible Colleges or Universities?

A. Maybe, but you need to contact the College concerned.

Q. How many students attend?

A.40 – 60 approx.

Q. How many staff at Capernwray?

A. Approx 12.

Q. What are the approximate ages of students attending – are there more younger students?

A. 18-24, with some mature age.

Q. How far is Capernwray from the Moss Vale train station?

A. 5 min drive.

Q. Can I work in Australia?

A. Yes. though we do advise that work not interrupt your studies.

International students have the right to work in Australia on the basis of their primary visa application, rather than having to apply separately for permission to work. International students can work up to 20 hours per week.

Q. Can I drive in Australia?

A. Yes for most countries. If you already hold a drivers licence in an English speaking country, you are able to drive while at school. Your licence must be kept on you at all times. If you hold a licence from a non-English speaking country, an International Driving Permit or an English translation must be carried with the licence. Often,  students join together to buy a car while at school.

Q.  Do you have ATM”s?

A. Yes, in the two closest towns of Bowral and Moss Vale.

Q. Can I use my own appliances in Australia?

A. Only appliances which operate on 240 volts. Otherwise you”ll have to purchase an adapter/convertor.

Q. Can I travel after Bible school?

A. Yes, your visa will be valid for one month after you graduate from school.

Q. Can I bring a computer?

A. Yes, but you will have limited connection to the Internet (after 5pm) for research for your studies or using Skype to call home.

Q. Can I bring my own bedding?

A. Yes, but we do provide sheets, doonas (comforters) and blankets.

Q. What is the min and max temperature at the school?

A. Jan 12-24, Feb 13-24, Mar 11-22, Apr 6-19, May 4-15, June 2-12, July 0-11, Aug 2-13, Sep 3-15, Oct 6-19, Nov 9-21, Dec 11-24′. That’s in Celsius (not Farenheit).

Q. How close is the school to the nearest town?

A. Bowral is 10km away and the school bus goes in most afternoons. Push bikes (bicycles) are also available.

Q. How close is the beach?

A. 45min by car.

Q. What is smart casual dress?

A. Clean, modest and tidy clothing.

Q. What date should I book my return flight?

A. Students are allowed to leave the last Thursday night after Graduation Service or early Friday morning. Students need to be off campus by 10.00 am on the Friday. Many students will stay an extra day in Sydney to buy gifts for family members or to spend time with fellow students.
