SNOW IN OZ?

Hi there, friends of i58!

YES!  That’s right!  There is snow in Australia.  We are about three hours aways from Perisher which is where most of the ski-ing takes place.

Last weekend was Travel Weekend, where our students were free to take off for the weekend.  Most went to the local beach, Kiama, some went to Sydney, and I went to Cooma, just outside of Perisher, with a former student, Tony, and met up with the Cooma Baptist Church youth pastor who let us go with the youth group to the snow!  We had a great day of tobogganing, building igloos and jacuzzis (!) in the snow as well as building a jump to toboggan over and of course, the traditional snow ball fight.  AWESOME time was had by one and all.

I got to speak to the youth during church on Sunday, so it was a great combination of fun and good learning.  We hope that their youth will come and visit us again in the near future.

We love to get out and about in Australia to promote the good work of Jesus here at Capernwray in the lives of the whole community.  This coming week Ricky and I are going to Robertson Anglican church and will be singing / playing I BELIEVE – our new song for GX3 – coming soon to the Southern Highlands.

Well that’s all for now!  Have a GREAT day,

STEVE aka WOODSEY
