Hi there, friends of i58!
God is on the move in the lives of the youth in the Southern Highlands where our Bible School is situated. All our students know it as we see this for ourselves in all the involvement that we have with the youth. In our SN@C, (Sunday night youth outreach at Capernwray), a few weeks ago we asked how many churches were represented and the answer came back as staggering 10. Then last Fridays we went to the first Youth Merge which is a termly event organised between all the local youth groups to get them together for a focal event. It was supported by over 150 young people – awesome.
We are arranging a one off event too, GX3, organised by our 2nd semester students – it promises to be phenomenal! I will write about it more fully in a blog devoted to GX3 but for now I just want to say that three of us got together to write a song for the event about the youth in the Southern Highlands, what they believe and what God is doing through them. Thought you might like to read the words and I’ll see if we can get sound track posted soon. It’s called, I BELIEVE, written by Jordan Worner, Ricky Lawrie and myself.
I believe in You, I believe that You died in my place
And You did it for love to save
I believe in You, I believe that You rose from the grave
And You live in my heart to save
PRE CHORUS
You gave me life and I give it away to heal a broken world
CHORUS
Give me Your eyes of love to see
Help me to be Your hands and feet
Let me proclaim the gospel truth
And trust in Your word
I believe in You, I believe that You love me for sure
And You show it in how You care
I believe in You, I believe that You grow me each day
And You use me to do Your will
If you want to learn about song writing – its all on offer here as part of our course – why not come and join us!
HAVE A GREAT DAY,
STEVE aka WOODSEY
