UP AND AWAY!

Hi friends of i58!

The new 2nd Semester of 2010 is now up and away!  All the students arrived safely, met the staff, ate great food, and slept like logs!  The next day, after church we took them on a tour of the local area – beautiful countryside, bush, water falls and a massive potato!  The students are pictured half way up the potato which is found in the local town of Robertson, famous for it’s potatoes!

After a week of getting to know each other, the staff and a new routine the guys headed out to Exeter to the Barr’s residence for a great guys’ night which included getting muddy, getting spat at by an alpaca and sitting around a huge log fire.  The girls, on the other hand, when to the Clarke’s place to get to know each other better and make jewellery.

The weekend only got better as we relaxed and on Saturday evening watched Avatar on my new 40′ TV.  Then, after church on Sunday we all got ready to greet the local youth for the first SN@C, (Sunday Night at Capers), of our semester.

This week the students are knuckling down to study starting with the book of Philippians.

All is good and we are looking forward to yet another GREAT weekend which includes a guys camping trip!

We thank Jesus for such great opportunities to learn and grow.
