Hi there, friends of i58!
This morning we heard a beautiful devotion given by one of our new students, Allycia from Canada, she chose to talk about God’s love. Even though it was early in the morning, (8.30am), and some students, (and staff), were struggling with simply being with it, as Allycia shared from her heart about God’s love she touched all our hearts too.
Sharing the truth of God’s word is a wonderful privilege – it teems with life itself – and when it is done in love we can sense the power of God at work.
The devo, (the Aussies shorten almost every word and add an ‘o’!!), was followed by the band playing a song which reflected our response to God’s love, Chris Tomlin’s We fall down. Ricky, also from Canada, led the singing for the first time and had his eyes open to the power of God at work through worship. We all agreed that at the end of the song there was about a 5 second moment where no one moved – it was as though we were all enjoying the presence of God so much we wanted to enjoy Him for just a little longer.
Trust you are all enjoying God! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
Speak soon,
STEVE aka WOODSEY
